Stage X – Future Feelings

In the classroom, Anna’s thoughts are full with Principal Simon’s words while looking out off the window – (“I hope there isn’t any boy on that heart… Keep your brain on the duel.”)  - (What he say…Is it true?) – Anna thought.

Anna raised her arm and asked her. - Excuse me teach, could I be excused to go to the bathroom? – Anna asked.
- Sure. Just don’t take too long. - The teacher affirmed it.
- Thank you. – Anna thanked, getting up and leaving the classroom.

After that, she went outdoors and grabbed her cellphone and called Zack.
- Zack’s speaking. – Zack picked up.
- Hey Zack, hum… are you busy this afternoon? – Anna asked.
- Hmm… I don’t think so. Why? – Zack wondered.
- Can we meet? – Anna asked.
- Sure. Where? - Asked Zack.
- Do you know where is the tower in the center, of Neo Domino city? – Anna asked.
- Huh… I don’t know where that… Why don’t we meet at the amusing park? – Zack suggested.
- Seriously? – Anna replied.
- Yeah. Why not? – Zack asked.
- Sure, why not… - Anna sighed.
- See you then. – Zack said.
- Bye. – Anna hanged up the call.

After hanging up, Dolkka slowly appeared behind her. - Is this boy, the boy your principal was referring? – Dolkka wondered.
- Oh, Shut up… - Anna said, not being in the mood.
- I guess it isn’t. So why are you soft? Yesterday’s duel, you could win on your second turn. Hey, I know you like to see your opponent in pain, but that wasn’t your play style. – Dolkka asked.
- It’s nothing. – Anna answered, looking away.
- If you say so. – Dolkka said.
- By the way, are you going to do this all the time? – Anna asked.

- Whatever… - Anna replied.

After it, Anna decides to return to her classroom but she continues looking out of the window.

After the end of every class, Anna rushed to leave school. But from the distance, Hugh called her out.
- Hey! Anna, wait up for me! – Hugh shouted, from the distance.
- What do you want? – Anna asked, after waiting for him.
- I thought we could go in the same bus together? – Hugh asked.
- Not interested… - Anna rejected him.
- Why not? – Hugh asked.
- I have to go to a place… - Anna replied.
- Oh… ok. I thought we could hang out. Before the tournament… - Said Hugh
- Sorry but I can’t. - Said Anna
- Ok then. Good luck to the tournament. - Said Hugh
- Thanks. - Thanked Anna

Hugh saw Anna leaving school and looked upon the sky feeling the emptiness and noticing something would be missing.

- (I’m starting to think, if it was a good idea to come alone…) - Anna thought, towards Dolkka.
- (Wow… you really are getting soft.) – Dolkka teased Anna.
- (Shut up!) – Anna replied.
- (C’mon Anna! Since when do you care about this stuff?) – Dolkka asked.
- (I don’t know…) – Anna replied.
- (Oh my… My little girl is becoming a woman.) – Dolkka kept teasing.
- (What did you thought I was then?!) – Anna asked.
- (An independent and strong warrior) – Dolkka complemented Anna.
- (Is that what you thought?) – Anna blushed.
- (I see a bit red on your face!) – Dolkka said, laughing.
- (Shut up!) – Anna shouted.
- (But seriously, you have to keep an eye on your guy…) – Dolkka warned Anna.
- (Could you please stop talking about it?!) – Anna begged.
- (He is dangerous without Laggia.) – Dolkka looked seriously at Anna.
- (Oh… You mean that…) – Anna sighed looking away.
- (You have to be careful; he seems to have potential to win the tournament. And if he does win, you have to go cry to your father’s shoulder, begging for money to pay for your Principals debts.) – Dolkka said.
- (Don’t worry that won’t happen.) – Anna replied.

Dolkka stopped talking since then and after a couple minutes; Anna had arrived to the amusing park, not seeing Zack she decided to wait. But not after long, Zack showed up with a smile on his face. Anna was upset.
- Sorry for being late. – Zack said.
- Took you long enough! What took you so long? – Anna shouted.
- Never make a woman wait, huh? – Zack laughed. - I had to go to a place first. – Zack explained himself.
- Whatever… - Anna said, blushing. - Can we talk now? – Anna asked.
- Sure, let’s go sit in coffee shop – Zack said, walking to the nearest coffee shot.
- Alright… - Anna founder herself very shy. - I think I am becoming soft… I mean, I’m not this typical girl. I more into picking fights and do all sort of craps… And now, I just don’t feel like doing it anymore and feels wrong. - Anna said.
- (HA! I knew this!) – Dolkka thought.
- (SHUT UP!!) – Anna thought, shouting at Dolkka.
- Erm…So? – Zack asked.
- What do you mean by “so”!? This is a real deal… - Anna asked.
- Look, you are just becoming the girl you are. Some part in your life, you forced yourself to change rapidly and your own conscience knows that this is going too far. Your own personality is just beginning to blooming. – Zack gave his thoughts.
- Yeah… - Anna sighed.
- Or maybe it’s because of this Evolzar thing, Dolkka fusion is showing your sensitive side – Zack said.
- Maybe… - Anna sighed again. - Did your life changed? – Anna asked.
- Our lives changed, and not only us three. Our families had suffer these effects, I mean... Look at you and your dad. – Zack said.
- I guess so… - Anna kept sighing.
- Now cheer up! Let’s go have some fun! – Zack said, smiling.
- Wait what?! Fun?! – Anna asked, surprised.
- Yes. C’mon, let’s smile in this beautiful afternoon. – Zack laughed.
- Ok… - Anna shyly accepted.

It was after too long for Anna to smile. Zack’s funny jokes, stories and the invitations to go on some rides and trying to win prizes helped a lot too. That afternoon changed Anna, this being a goal of Zack’s. And for last, they went on the Ferris wheel. The sun was beginning to be swallowed by the seas of Neo Domino city, making Anna to smile happily.
- Do like the sunset? – Zack asked.
- Yes, it makes me relaxed, protected, sane… - Anna said, with a calm voice.
- I see… How come a sunset can do that to a lot of people? – Zack asked.
- I don’t know…maybe it’s the memories that a person tries to remember… - Anna said.
- Memories? – Zack asked.
- Never mind, it’s complicated to understand if you don’t feel the same way… - Anna said, with a tear feeling down her face.
- Anna? – Zack asked. - Why are you crying? – Zack wondered.
- It’s nothing, they’re emotional tears… - Anna said, wiping the tears off her face. - By the way, you didn’t forget about the tourney my school is having, did you? - Asked Anna
- Nope, I didn’t. You and Hugh are participating on it. – Zack said.
- The tournament is this Saturday, so there is no school in the next three days. – Anna said. - Take this, people that aren’t on the school need this invitation. – Anna handed Zack a invitation ticked. - I hope you could come. – Anna said.
- Thanks. I will come. - Zack accepted the ticked, affirming that he would go.

The ride was over and after getting off it they decided to call a day.
- Thanks for meeting me. – Anna thanked.
- No prob. If you need to chat about something, my ear would be interested to hear it. And if you need to cry my shoulder is here to hold your head. – Zack said.
- Thanks… - Anna thanked with a soft smile.
- And no worries about becoming soft, stuff happens. – Zack said.
- Yeah, you’re probably right. – Anna said.
- Well, I have to move on or else I will lose the train. – Zack said.
- Yeah and I will lose the bus. – Anna replied.
- Cya! – Zack said his goodbyes.
- Bye… - Anna replied the same way.

Those three days passed and the duelists were ready for the tournament. But unfortunately due to budget problems, this year’s tournament had to be small.
The day was Saturday, the morning of 24 of December. Hugh was in Northeast Domino cemetery; visiting his mother.

- Hugh sat next to his mother’s grave. - Hi mom… - Hugh sighed. - It’s been a while since I came here… And a lot happened since that while. He putted them in a vase, next to a draw of hers. His mother was an artist and on that draw was him and his father.

- Hugh returned to home to have his lunch. - Back already? - Hugh’s father asked.
- Yeah. Just grab something to eat. – Hugh said. – Can’t believe it’s been 10 years… - Hugh sighed.
- I know… but after all these years, you are still being protected. - Hugh’s father said.
- I guess so… - Hugh sighed.
- Come on! Put a smile on that face and eat, today you will need a lot of strength. - Hugh’s father said.
- You’re right. – Hugh replied.
- Hurry up, because I have to go to the laboratory earlier. - Hugh’s father warned.
- Does this mean you won’t be seeing me duel? – Hugh asked.

- I have a bad feeling… - Solda warned
- About today, why? – Zack asked.
- I bet that Hugh kid will win. That pendent is way too powerful than we can expect. And Hugh will use its power, Anna doesn’t have anything to outstand it… -Solda said.
- I wish I could see it… The future shows me a red ball…The spectators are amazed, mad and worry at the same time. Plus, all the principal gives a damn is Anna’s life points. – Zack said.
- I see…well the only way to found out is waiting for later. Let’s catch the train. – Solda said.
- I agreed. – Zack affirmed.
